Brief Bio
Alfredo Cuzzocrea is Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Calabria, Rende, Italy. He also covers the role of Full Professor in Computer Engineering at the University of Lorraine, Nancy, France, where he holds the Excellence Chair in Computer Engineering. He is Head of the Big Data Engineering and Analytics Lab of the University of Calabria, Italy. He is also Research Fellow of the National Research Council (CNR), Italy. Previously, he has been International Senior Research Fellow of the ISITE-BFC Research Excellence Program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), France. He hold s several visiting professor positions worldwide. His current research interests span the following scientific fields: big data, database systems, data mining, data warehousing, and knowledge discovery. His research results have been awarded largely. Elhadj Benkhelifa is a Full Professor of Computer Science and the Head of Professoriate at Staffordshire University. He is also the founding Director of the Smart Systems, AI and Cybersecurity Research Centre. Elhadj research areas cover cloud computing and applications in its centralised and decentralised forms (Fog/Edge computing, Cloudlet, Blockchain etc), Software Defined Systems. Service Computing, Cybersecurity, Data (Governance, Semantics, analytics, Social Networks), Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering methods. Elhadj has been a keynote speaker to many international venues and has edited a nu mber of conference proceedings and special editions of Scientific Journals. He has published 150+ research papers in conferences and journals and has been the Principal Investigator of a number of collaborative projects and chaired many prominent IEEE conferences. Elhadj is the Chair of the IEEE UK&I Section’s Education office and sits on the West Midland Cyber Resilience Centre’s Advisory Board. Oleg Gusikhin is a Senior Director, Data Science & Machine Learning at Ford Global Data Insight & Analytics. Dr. Gusikhin is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of INFORMS and a Fellow of AAIA. For over 20 years, he has been working at Ford Motor Company in different functional areas. During his tenure at Ford, he has created numerous high-impact long-lasting applications for Ford manufacturing, supply chain and connected vehicles, and holds over 100 patents. He is a recipient of three Henry Ford Technology Awards in the Manufacturing, Research, and Product Development categories and the 2014 INFORMS Daniel H. Wagner Priz e for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research. Slimane Hammoudi is Professor at ESEO in Angers-France, a graduate school of engineering in electronics, computing, networking and telecommunications. Since 2003 his research interests have been in the main area of Model Driven Engineering with the focus on two application domains: Web Services and Context-Awareness. Since 2005, he has served as a co-chair of a workshop on Model Driven Development (MDEIS and FTMDD), a satellite workshop of ICEIS, international conference on enterprise information systems.
