The CoCoAnDa project has the objective, to apply current computer science techniques, and particularly analytics, in the context of team handball. From that perspective, CoCoAnDa can also be seen as an approach to introduce the digital transformation in the area of a traditional team sport. CoCoAnDa focusses on three major areas:
- The usage of sensor technology to automatically collect data, and particularly location data, during a match
- Application of deep learning and data mining techniques to develop models for automated pattern detection, as well as short term, and long term prediction.
- Mobile apps for coaches to provide them with graphically prepared information for fast decision support.
